The long-awaited Mad Max: Fury Road finally released last week, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. While critically successful the movie didn't dominate at the box office, finishing in second place domestically behind Pitch Perfect 2 its first weekend. It also had to deal with the juggernaut Avengers: Age of Ultron, which finished third in its third weekend of release and brought its grand total to $1.1 billion worldwide.
Despite the big time competition, Fury Road has still managed a strong $110 million worldwide so far---$3 million more than Pitch Perfect 2 currently has made thanks to better numbers in foreign markets---on its $150 million budget, so naturally fans will wonder whether or not there will be a sequel.
